Vice President for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion About the Company Highly regarded public community college Industry Education Management Type Educational Institution Founded 1965 Employees 501-1000 Categories ~ Education About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (VPEDI) to lead and drive transformative efforts in embedding these values across the institution. The successful candidate will be a strategic and visionary leader with a deep commitment to fostering a culture of belonging and respect. Responsibilities include providing visionary leadership on EDI matters, supervising a dedicated team, designing and implementing a comprehensive EDI strategy, and collaborating with academic and HR leadership to ensure inclusive practices in all aspects of the college experience. The VPEDI will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the progress of EDI initiatives, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in EDI, and a proven track record of effective supervision. They should possess expertise in EDI, belonging, and anti-racism, and a strong background in change management and organizational leadership. The role requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to build meaningful connections with diverse groups, and a deep commitment to inclusion and belonging. A collaborative and inclusive leadership style, along with a strong problem-solving and decision-making ability, is essential. The candidate should be adept at fostering a positive and equitable workplace and learning environment, and be prepared to champion institutional progress in EDI.
