As a Security Officer - Unarmed Industrial Patrol in East Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with those onsite. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for driving as part of your patrol duties. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as directed.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and logging visitors as required at the location.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols for fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other incidents relevant to the manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of activities, incidents, and observations during assigned shifts.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to provide information and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
