Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Pecos, TX

Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital

Shift: Nights | 12-hour shifts

Hours: 36/48 Alternating Schedule (Bi-weekly)
Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality maternal and newborn care in a critical access hospital setting. The RN will work night shifts and deliver comprehensive nursing care for laboring mothers, infants, and postpartum patients.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
• Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and labor progression.
• Assist with labor support, deliveries, and emergency interventions.
• Administer medications, IVs, and follow all L&D clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility standards.
• Support patient education regarding labor, postpartum care, and newborn health.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies as needed (e.g., PPH, preeclampsia).

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact state).
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (preferred).
• BLS and NRP required; ACLS preferred depending on facility policy.
• Ability to work independently in a critical access setting.
• Strong assessment, communication, and emergency response skills.
