Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Wood Technician / Furniture Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with wood, furniture repair, and refinishing. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing furniture, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and assess furniture for damage or needed repairs
Perform repairs including wood touch-ups, refinishing, re-gluing, sanding, staining, and structural fixes
Restore furniture to original condition using appropriate tools, techniques, and materials
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Follow safety procedures and ensure proper handling of equipment and materials
Communicate repair needs, timelines, and progress with supervisors/customers as required
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in woodwork, furniture repair, or a related trade
Knowledge of woodworking techniques, stains, finishes, and repair processes
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and repair equipment
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to lift and move furniture as needed
Valid driver’s license preferred (if travel to job sites is required)
