A young busy family is looking for a nanny/ family assistant to help their three kids in the Miami area. The nanny will help with childcare , errands , vendors at the home, events , pet care , and ideally would be happy to travel . The first few hours of the day will be focused on household tasks, until the kids come home from school. We would love someone able to help with some later nights and babysitting (with notice) but not required. Ideal candidates will be energetic , proactive , helpful , and most importantly trustworthy .
Job Title: Nanny/Family Assistant
Location: Miami, FL
Hours: Tuesday – Friday, 12pm - 8pm with flexibility; Saturday, 3pm – 10/11pm with flexibility
Salary: Starting at $40 per hour DOE, overnight stipend for travel or housesitting with the kids
Benefits: PTO, Federal Holidays, contribution to health insurance
The Family: Busy couple, 3 kids (all girls ages 6-11); 1 Dog (15lbs)
The Team: Cleaning company 2x a week
Duties:
Nanny Responsibilities
Ensuring the children’s safety and wellbeing is the most important
Transporting kids to and from activities/ school (if needed)
Overseeing kids at home (minimal screen time) & engaging kids with age appropriate activities
Teaching manners and discipline (following parents methods), handling sibling arguments
Overnights as requested (with notice)
Travelling with the family (max 10 days, 4x a year)
Home Support
Keeping the house tidy, cleaning crew to do deep cleans (ensuring they do a good job)
Handling household laundry (not professional)
Keeping the house organized wardrobes, kitchen cupboards, linen cupboards, children’s clothes and toys
Cooking for the family using recipes
Errand running, updating grocery lists, organizing the fridge
Helping with birthday parties
Assisting with pet car (vet & groomers & walks when needed)
Overseeing suppliers (plumbers etc.), assisting with organizing appointments where needed
Paying vendors and keeping track of receipts
Ensuring the house is seasonally decorated
Housesitting as needed when the family is away
Ensuring vehicles are fill with gas/ fully charged as requested
Monitoring deliveries and mail
