Job Description

Alaska Frontier Protective Services in Anchorage, AK is looking for one fingerprint technician to join our 21 person strong team. We are located on 801 East 82nd Ave A16. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Fingerprint Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for capturing and processing fingerprint data for various purposes, including background checks and identification verification. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and process fingerprints using various techniques and equipment.
  • Ensure the quality and clarity of fingerprint images for accurate identification.
  • Maintain detailed records of fingerprint submissions and results.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other organizations as needed.
  • Adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines related to fingerprinting processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to individuals undergoing fingerprinting.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in fingerprint collection.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a law enforcement or security-related field is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with fingerprinting techniques and equipment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
