Salary: $70,000 - 90,000 per Annum

Position Overview:

The Contracts Manager plays a vital role in managing the full lifecycle of contracts, from initial creation and negotiations to execution and renewal for one of the worlds largest tier-1 automotive supplier. This position will also provide comprehensive support to the General Counsel’s Office by assisting with legal research, compliance tasks, reporting, training initiatives, and other administrative duties. The role serves as an essential point of contact between the General Counsel’s office and various business functions such as procurement, commercial sales, finance, HR, and others to ensure contracts are executed accurately and obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the complete contract lifecycle, which includes drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, maintaining, and renewing contracts.
  • Managing and organizing a central contract database, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
  • Tracking important contract deadlines, milestones, and renewal dates to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
  • Assisting in the creation and improvement of standard contract templates and internal procedures.
  • Supporting the drafting, reviewing, and updating of internal policies and procedures.
  • Conducting legal research to support the drafting of memos and providing legal opinions.
  • Independently reviewing non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and confidentiality agreements.
  • Assisting with special projects and long-term strategic initiatives within the Legal Department.

The ideal Candidate would have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or legal support.
  • Paralegal certification or an equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of key legal areas such as commercial contracts, NDAs, employment and labor law, regulatory compliance, business law, and international law.
  • Understanding of automotive and manufacturing industry regulations.
