Job Title: Program Director – Substance Abuse Services

Location: Albany, NY

Relocation Bonus: $8,000

Job Summary:

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Program Director to oversee clinical and administrative operations for a substance abuse treatment program . This role involves managing facility operations, ensuring quality services, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Program Director will work closely with leadership to develop and improve services while fostering effective communication within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Oversight:

• Supervise program employees and evaluate performance.
• Ensure effective and efficient delivery of substance abuse treatment services .
• Provide direction for interdisciplinary teams managing medical and clinical programming.
• Develop and implement service improvements to meet client needs.
• Oversee financial aspects, including shelter rent payments and insurance authorizations.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with required protocols.

Staff Supervision & Development:

• Provide leadership and administrative oversight to staff.
• Lead recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and personnel decisions.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies and ethical standards.
• Monitor client participation in required therapy and recovery programs.

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including confidentiality and privacy requirements.
• Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and organizational standards.
• Promote adherence to professional codes of conduct and legal guidelines.

Facility & Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day operations to maintain a structured and supportive environment.
• Ensure safety and compliance with facility policies.
• Assist in developing and implementing operational procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years of leadership experience in substance abuse treatment programs .
• Certification & Training:
• Relevant licensure or certification required, such as OASAS CASAC (Advanced or Master Level) or NYSED Qualified Health Professional (QHP) .
• Completion of necessary clinical supervision training within one year of hire.
