The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry invites applications for two faculty positions beginning August 2026. The positions are contingent upon available funding and a satisfactory background check. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled.
Teaching responsibilities include organic chemistry and introductory chemistry. Faculty are expected to conduct research and participate in student advising as well as service to the department and university. The successful candidate must provide (1) evidence of effectiveness in teaching undergraduate courses and labs in organic and general chemistry and (2) a list of experiences and/or goals for establishing an active research program involving undergraduate students. A Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or closely related fields such as Bioorganic or Bio?inorganic Chemistry is required.

All candidates invited for a campus interview will be expected to do a 45?60?minute instructional student presentation as well as a presentation on their proposed research program and how they would incorporate undergraduate students in their research.

All candidates invited for a campus interview will be expected to do a 50?minute instructional student presentation on a selected topic in inorganic chemistry. Purdue University Fort Wayne will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
