The Solution Architect, guided by the CBS Data Office Lead and Operations Lead, will own and drive the design of processes and systems supporting data management across the firm, working independently with deep project lifecycle knowledge. This role is vital for developing and adopting data management capabilities across the organization. You will lead efforts to assemble teams, documentation, and solutions to meet the CBS Data Office’s objectives. The team is currently understaffed with 4 on-shore and 2 off-shore resources, and the demand for scope and responsibilities is increasing. Recent team changes have shifted responsibilities, creating a gap in solution architecture support. Scope of the Position: This individual will lead system and project architecture for the CBS Data Office, responsible for: Evaluate, design, and propose data architecture options for CBS Data Office and related initiatives. Manage project data regarding scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality, and risk. Analyze requirements and options, providing documentation and reports for leadership. Coordinate meetings, presentations, and reviews with internal and stakeholder groups. Monitor projects, incorporate feedback, and adjust plans; understand project and stakeholder needs; collaborate on solutions. Under supervision, lead teams and projects as needed. Knowledge required for disciplines: Lead data architecture using appropriate tools, techniques, and terminology. Experience with data management concepts: Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, Metadata Management. Document changes and risks, and monitor project performance. Establish project deliverables and execute plans. Facilitate meetings and demonstrate experience in end-to-end data architecture. Additional knowledge beyond the job: Experience with CBS functions and systems at EY. Leadership skills, stakeholder collaboration, and 3+ years in data management leadership. Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) is preferred. Strategic planning, business and technical understanding, and strong communication skills. Key considerations: 5-10 years in complex engineering projects; 10+ years in architecture leadership roles.
