We are representing a client that works with a consolidation of small firms that provides professional consulting, financial, accounting, tax, and payroll services to small businesses and individuals nationwide. Each firm is specialized in their area of expertise which allows their customers the ability to utilize services through a variety of industries.

Location: Grand Rapids, MN; Apple Valley, MN; Sturgis, SD – Remote candidates considered
Duration: 4–5 weeks, 40 hours per week *Not Part Time*

About the Role:
We are seeking one or two experienced Senior Tax Accountants for a short-term contract assignment focused on reviewing and signing off on tax returns. This role requires strong technical knowledge of U.S. tax law and hands-on experience with both individual and business tax filings.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and sign off on individual and business tax returns with a high degree of accuracy.

Apply senior-level tax expertise to ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.

Collaborate with team members across multiple offices to support a smooth and efficient tax review process.

Provide guidance and mentorship as needed to junior staff or preparers.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in tax accounting, with a strong background in both individual and business returns.

Prior experience working in a public accounting or tax firm is required.

Proven ability to independently review and sign off on tax returns.

CPA, EA preferred but not required.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Work Environment:

On-site presence in Grand Rapids, MN; Apple Valley, MN; or Sturgis, SD is preferred.

Remote work arrangements may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
