$24.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience

Job Summary:
The Accountant II position is responsible for assisting the finance department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Education:

A. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting plus three years of accounting experience.

B. Work Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficiency in accounting GL software, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
Outstanding follow-through on assignments.
Demonstrates initiative and self-direction.

Compile financial statements.
Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other reports, to assess accuracy, efficiency, and conformance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and workpapers with a high level of accuracy.
Develop and update financial records and schedules in a timely manner.
Adhere to deadlines for month-end closing procedures.
Create forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel.
