Job Description

Highland Park Baptist Church, a growing, multi-generational Southern Baptist church located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, is seeking a full-time youth pastor/minister to lead a youth group of 50+ students. The right candidate for this position would demonstrate a passion for building relationships with youth and families, discipling youth to grow in their relationship with God and a dedication to clearly and accurately preaching the Word of God. This candidate will work closely with our strong ministry staff to help equip students and families to grow in their faith, to live a life for the Lord and to reach the lost for Jesus.

Job Duties

• Study and clearly teach the Word
• Prepare and present lessons that are Biblically sound and engaging
• Communicate clearly and consistently with youth, staff, and families
• Collaborate with ministry staff for the growth and edification of the church body
• Recruit and train volunteers to partner with him in this ministry
• Plan and execute events for 50+ students
• Oversee student discipleship opportunities

Qualifications

• A love for Jesus Christ and His church with a desire to study and rightly handle the Word
• Qualities of a pastor listed in 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:5-9, model Christlike behavior
  as commanded in 1 Peter 5:1-3, walk by the Spirit and demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit
  as described in Galatians 5:16-26 and avoid any behavior that could be a stumbling
  block to weaker believers as referenced in Romans 14:13.
• A self-starter who humbly accepts feedback
• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree with seminary preferred
