Part of a growing team- As our Full Stack Web Developer, you will play a critical role in the growth of our website and eCommerce platforms. You’ll be responsible for driving the strategic recommendations for how we optimize and maintain web operations for earthanimal.com, integrating various platforms, and ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals. Your expertise will inform technical decisions and solutions, helping to optimize our online customer experience and streamline internal processes.

Responsibilities

• Website & eCommerce Development: Support and maintain Earth Animal’s WooCommerce and WordPress websites, developing content and features while ensuring our sites are fully functional, optimized, and scalable.
• Technical Leadership: Lead technical decisions pertaining to our website and its related programs, providing insights on best practices, new technologies, and system improvements.
• Platform Integration: Oversee and manage integrations with Netsuite, ShipStation, Klaviyo, Zendesk, social platforms, Bazaarvoice, and PriceSpider.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure the website and eCommerce platform are optimized for performance, speed, and SEO, delivering a seamless user experience.
• Bug Fixes & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to the website, eCommerce, and integrations in a timely manner.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, operations, and customer support teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements to enhance the site’s functionality and overall performance.

Requirements for Success

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Web Developer, with a strong portfolio of web development and eCommerce projects.
• Expertise with WordPress, WooCommerce, and related plugins.
• Experience with system integrations (Netsuite, ShipStation, Klaviyo, etc.).
• Familiarity with common stacks.
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery).
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js).
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization, UX/UI design, SEO, and data management.
• Excited to challenge conventions and bring fresh perspectives to Earth Animal.
• Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills with a high level of initiative & self-sufficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-technical teams.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and Agile development practices is a plus.
• A positive outlook, dynamic collaborative mentality and strong work ethic.
• Hybrid work schedule 3x days per week in the office.
