Job Description

Job Description Position Title: Vice President, Business Development (Diagnostics CRO) Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Leader to spearhead partnerships, client acquisition, and revenue growth for a new, specialized Diagnostics CRO. This position is critical to our mission of becoming the go-to clinical research partner for diagnostics companies of all sizes, from startups to Fortune 500 firms. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the diagnostics sector—spanning molecular diagnostics, IVD, companion diagnostics, AI-driven solutions, and point-of-care testing—and a proven ability to forge high-value relationships. Key Responsibilities: Market Strategy & Client Acquisition Develop and execute a business development strategy targeting small-to-medium as well as large diagnostics companies. Drive the sales pipeline from lead generation through close, focusing on clinical trial execution, regulatory consulting, and data analytics services. Strategic Partnerships Form alliances with key stakeholders—diagnostics manufacturers, biobanks, hospitals, and government entities—to expand the CRO’s footprint and revenue streams. Identify and maintain relationships with potential co-development partners for new diagnostic products. Thought Leadership & Brand Building Represent the CRO at industry conferences and publish or present insights on diagnostics clinical trial trends. Position the company as a specialized leader by highlighting our unique value proposition. Technical Advocacy Collaborate with internal teams (medical and scientific affairs, regulatory affairs, clinical operations, data management) to propose comprehensive end-to-end solutions for prospective clients. Stay ahead of changing FDA and global regulations (e.g., 510(k), PMA, CE-IVD), incorporating relevant updates into sales materials and client proposals. Revenue Growth & Forecasting Establish revenue targets and collaborate with finance and operations teams to meet or exceed KPIs. Use data-driven analysis to refine business development tactics, accurately forecast deal flow, and maximize profitability. Ideal Candidate Profile: Domain Expertise: 10+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, or sales leadership experience in the diagnostics, medical device, or CRO sector. Familiarity with molecular diagnostics, companion diagnostics, biomarker studies, and post-market surveillance. Technical & Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of clinical trial design, FDA pathways (510(k), PMA, de novo), and EU IVDR. Ability to translate regulatory requirements into compelling sales proposals for diagnostics clients. Network & Relationships: Existing relationships with decision-makers in diagnostics or medtech is a strong plus. Track record of closing significant deals with mid to large-sized clients. Strategic Thinking: Able to shape both short-term wins and long-term partnership roadmaps. Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving goals. Leadership & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to lead negotiations, deliver presentations, and collaborate cross-functionally with technical and operations teams. Operating Style: Humble with high intellectual curiosity. Excels in a transparent, inclusive culture that values open communication, teamwork, continuous learning and readily adapting to evolving priorities. What We Offer: High-Impact Role: You will directly influence the growth trajectory of a specialized CRO that is disrupting the diagnostics industry. Competitive Compensation & Incentives: Attractive base salary, bonus, and equity options aligned with performance and revenue milestones. Cutting-Edge Environment: Opportunity to shape the future of diagnostics clinical research with unique value offerings aimed at disrupting the CRO status quo. Professional Growth: A seat at the leadership table in a young, rapidly scaling organization committed to revolutionizing clinical research for diagnostics. About Us: We are backed by visionary leadership and positioned to capture the expanding U.S. diagnostics market by providing niche, specialized services. Our newly formed Diagnostics CRO offers end-to-end clinical trial execution and consulting for the booming diagnostics sector—focusing on molecular diagnostics, companion diagnostics, post-market surveillance, and AI-driven solutions. Our differentiators include: Leading, agile project management aimed at cost and time predictability. Regulatory expertise for navigating FDA approvals (510(k), PMA) and CE-IVD. Strong technology stack (CTMS, EDC, AI/ML tools) for efficient study management. Proven clinical operations and site management for multi-site, global studies. Company Description: DynaMill Research is a next-generation Clinical Research Organization (CRO) dedicated exclusively to diagnostics. We specialize in executing high-quality, efficient, and regulatory-compliant clinical trials tailored for diagnostic companies—from startups to global leaders. Our services span end-to-end trial management, regulatory strategy, data analysis, and post-market surveillance. By combining deep diagnostics expertise, advanced technology, and an integrated site network, we help accelerate the time-to-market for diagnostic innovations across molecular, point-of-care, and AI-driven platforms. #J-18808-Ljbffr Dynamill Research
