THIS POSITION IS "WORK FROM HOME" BUT CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN THE PHOENIX, AZ AREA

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Treatment Advisor is responsible for the admission and transition of new clients into ARC programs, to include detox, residential and outpatient. This role answers calls, works closely with the Admissions team, provides program details to callers and potential clients and family members. The Treatment Advisor facilitates the entire pre-admissions and admissions process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work with 18 years and over substance abuse/dual diagnosed population
• Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of programs and community services
• Must possess excellent written and spoken English language skills
• 1-2 years of experience in an Admissions setting preferred

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrated knowledge of customer service principles
• Pre-screening & assessment/Complete the referral/Admissions process
• Financial screening coordination with billing service and referral call metrics
• Coordinating all aspects of Admissions with all programs and Directors involved
• Referral & coordination to outside agencies
• Establishing & maintaining effective relationships with referral sources
• Ensures timely processing of admissions information & documentation

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Must be motivated to work with manual supervision
• Knowledge of recovery and co-occurring disorders
• Basic understanding of medications used in substance abuse & mental health fields
• Experience in crisis intervention & conflict resolution
• Ability to work with both male and female population
• Ability to multi-task and work well with team members
• Understanding of insurance authorizations
