Job Title: RN - Telemetry

Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Detroit, MI (onsite)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Work Hours: 700p-730a 3x12s, weekend and holiday availability required.

Total Weekly Hours: 36

Working in Observation Unit that requires cardiac/telemetry monitoring. Must be able to read strips. This is a high turnover fast paced unit seeing patients with complex cases. Ratio 5:1 - 7 to 8 RNs on unit per shift REQUIRED: Minimum 2-3 years of experience, previous experience on an observation unit, BLS and ACLS certifications, current MI RN licensure.

Job Summary:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.


• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.


• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Preferred Skills & Experience: N/A

Education:

Required Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).

Required Certification & Licensure:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
