Job Details

• Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care in the Emergency Department.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with education and experience of available staff.
• Provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Knowledge of nursing process and clinical nursing practices.
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Proficient in administering medications and monitoring side effects.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care.
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control and quality improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience required.
• ACLS required.
• BLS required.
• PALS required.
• TNCC preferred.
• ENPC preferred.
• NRP preferred.

Schedule Information

• Shift: Nights, 6:30p-7a.
• Blocked Scheduling is NOT approved.
• 48 hr. guarantees are NOT approved.
• Max RTO: 1 per Schedule; 6 Week Scheduling.

Unit Specific Information

• Emergency Department unit with 13 beds.
• Patient ratio 1:4 to 1:5.
• EMR system used: MedHost (EDIS).

Additional Details

• FINGERPRINTS FOR ALL NM TRAVELERS ARE REQUIRED.
• No Call required.
• Emergency Department, Level 3 Trauma.
• Number of beds in unit: 13.
• Patient Ratio: 1:4 - 1:5.
• Scrub Color: Any Color.
• EMR: MedHost (EDIS).
