We seek an experienced Tower Technician - Top Hand to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment on cellular towers and elevated structures. This role requires advanced technical skills, leadership capabilities, and safe work practices at heights.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble and erect various tower types (self-support, monopoles, guyed towers)
• Read construction documents and delegate tasks to ensure installations meet customer requirements
• Install antennas, coaxial/fiber optic cables, and power systems at heights over 100 feet
• Lead and mentor junior technicians
• Perform complex installations of wireless equipment
• Conduct site audits and document equipment configurations
• Troubleshoot cellular equipment and infrastructure issues
• Operate rigging equipment and assist with tower reinforcement
• Maintain work logs and complete required documentation
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety protocol adherence

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years tower climbing and maintenance experience
• Valid driver's license with clean record
• Understanding of wireless telecommunications systems
• Comfortable working at heights
• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb towers and work at extreme heights
• Physical agility (bend, kneel, climb, squat) with full range of motion
• Lift, carry, and manipulate equipment up to 70 pounds
• Physical stamina for extended climbing and overhead work
• Good balance and coordination

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with carrier equipment (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile) preferred
• Rigging techniques proficiency highly desirable

Working Conditions

• Exposure to heights, outdoor weather, and physical hazards
• Travel to various sites (up to 75% travel required)
• On-call rotation for emergency repairs
• Evenings, weekends, and holiday work may be required
