Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and fabricating dies in a temperature-controlled automotive facility. The ideal candidate will have experience with tool and die maintenance and the ability to interpret blueprints and perform welding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints accurately
• Utilize an overhead crane to move dies throughout the maintenance area and into machines
• Polish and grind dies as needed
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on dies
• Wire limit switches
• Disassemble and reassemble dies to specifications
• Operate mills and lathes to fabricate items as needed and within tight tolerances
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on dies

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a tooling/die maintenance role; 5+ years preferred
• High School diploma or GED required
• Progressive stamping experience is a plus

Work Environment

This position is in a temperature-controlled, tier 2 automotive facility with a small team atmosphere of 93 employees across two shifts. The dress code includes company-provided shirts, jeans, and steel-toed boots. The role is primarily for the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 PM to 11 PM, with occasional overtime extending to 1 AM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaver Dam, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
