Job Description

Assistant Technical Fashion Designer - Knitwear & Woven About the Role We are seeking a talented Assistant Fashion Designer specializing in knitwear and woven technical design to join our creative team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with creative vision to support the development of our collections from concept to production. Key Responsibilities Create detailed technical flat sketches using industry-standard computer software Prepare technical packages including construction details, measurements, and specifications Collaborate with creative director and production manager on design development and modifications Support the product development process through various stages Participate in fittings and provide technical input for garment improvements Maintain design libraries and archives Source trim and textiles Required Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Production/Fashion Design Experience in technical design: ideally in wovens, knitwear, swim & activewear. Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, patterns, and technical specifications Knowledge of textile innovation and sustainable practices Experience working with overseas manufacturers Proficient in creating digital flat sketches using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication abilities and team-oriented mindset Advantageous Qualifications
