Position Type: Adult Education Teachers/Surgical Technologist Teacher Date Posted: 5/21/2025 Location: East Valley Institute of Technology- Main Campus Date Available: 05/20/2025 Closing Date: Until Filled Applications are being accepted for the position of Adult Education Surgical Technology Instructor with the East Valley Institute of Technology at our Main St Campus (1601 W. Main St Mesa AZ 85201). The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Position Summary: Under general supervision the Surgical Technology Instructor will prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills for facilitating the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. The program includes instruction in anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, microbiology, medical terminology, basics of scrubbing, aseptic technique, instrumentation, preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care. Once students understand the basic concepts and skills, they will utilize what they have learned at a clinical site. Salary: $61,293.00 - $97,538.00 Final placement within the range will be based on a combination of the candidate's education, industry-related experience, teaching experience, and relevant certifications. Minimum Qualifications: Must have an Associates degree or greater in the field related to Surgical Technology Credentials must be in the field of Surgical Technology and through a national credentialing organization that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Must have CST CertificateHave minimum total of 2 years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, with the past 5 years. Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
