Job Description

My name is Taylor Kennedy with Protouch Staffing. Our client in Northern Michigan is looking for coverage for Cardiothoracic Surgeon Physician coverage for the following.
I take care of malpractice insurance, 1099 competitive rate for compensation and travel.
Cardiothoracic Surgeon is to take call 24/7 for the last 10-11 days every month. They will carry a small patient panel of outpatients (if able) to follow and perform elective/emergent CTCVS surgeries. They will provide on-call services, covering cath lab,emergency surgeries, inpatient consults/surgeries.

• Complete Cardio-Thoracic coverage for hospital.
• This includes urgent cases and call.
• No clinic coverage necessary. This is for hospital only.
  There is first assist APP and APP rounding.
• Physician will be second call.
• Adult demographic
• 100% Hospital based
• EMR: Cerner
• Patients per day: variable (10 surgeries/month for full time provider)
• Support staff, APP coverage, number of providers in the clinic and on-site services: CTCVS is supported with 1-3 APPs (sourcing locums and recruiting during a current gap). There is a dedicated RN to the program who facilitates scheduling. OR, radiology, and lab are all onsite.

Must include 4 hours of gratis in Oncall rate
Expenses:

• Flight, car, fuel, mileage, hotel is a $150 cap (including taxes)rental must be refueled before being returned
• Do NOT reimburse Med Staff Fees
• No lodging booked through 3rd party websites, ie expedia, kayak, etc
• McLaren is tax exempt and will not reimburse taxes on lodging
• Malpractice rates MUST be included in the rate

REQUIREMENTS

• MI License: Required - no exceptions
• Board Certified: Required
• Covid Vaccination: Required
• 4 hours of gratis in on call rate: Required
  Local providers, or limited travel - Highly preferred
  Clean background - Required, no exceptions
  Rates must be submitted at time of name clear - Required, will not send to client without rates
• BLS, Board Certified, Active Michigan License
