Position Title: Stocker

Department: Warehouse

Reports To: Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager

Location: Supermercado Mexico, Division Ave

Employment Type: Full-Time - Hourly

Job Summary

The Stocker ensures the proper arrangement, rotation, and maintenance of merchandise on shelves and in storage areas. This role also supports inventory processes, waste management, and ensures a clean and organized store environment while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service:

  • Assist customers with locating products and provide support as needed.

Operations:

  • Receive and organize goods upon delivery.
  • Arrange and stock fruits, vegetables, beverages, and dairy products in their respective areas, including refrigerators.
  • Front and arrange merchandise on shelves for a tidy appearance.
  • Monitor products for approaching expiration dates and ensure proper rotation.
  • Verify that all products have correct labels.
  • Manage waste disposal and maintain proper registration of waste.
  • Use the Flash Food application (Division-specific) to review and update product listings and generate sales reports.
  • Prepare WIC product stock reports to ensure availability.
  • Assist in the preparation of partial inventories.
  • Conduct product scanning as required.
  • Place advertising materials for specials and promotions.
  • Identify and relocate misplaced products during store walkthroughs.

Maintenance:

  • Perform internal and external cleaning of the branch, including all designated areas.
Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in stocking or retail is a plus but not required.

Knowledge:

  • Basic computing skills.
  • Familiarity with merchandise handling and product rotation principles.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service and support.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred but not required.
