Overview Your role in our mission We\'re seeking an experienced Sr. UX Researcher to lead research initiatives that connect us deeply with our users and uncover insights that drive meaningful product improvements. As a senior member of our product organization, you\'ll shape our UX strategy, mentor other UXers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure user-centered decision making across the organization. You\'ll be responsible for establishing research best practices, selecting appropriate methodologies for complex problems, and translating research insights into strategic recommendations that align with business objectives. Your expertise will help ensure we\'re building the right solutions that address real user needs and pain points. Responsibilities Lead and execute a variety of research methods including qualitative interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry, journey mapping, surveys, and quantitative benchmarking Design and implement comprehensive research plans for complex projects in a fast-moving environment Mentor junior UXers and evangelize research best practices across the organization Regularly present at Town Hall and All Tech meetings Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and effectively communicate them to stakeholders Collaborate with design, product, marketing, and engineering teams to incorporate user insights throughout the product development process Expand our research repository to make insights accessible and usable by the broader organization Partner with analytics teams to combine qualitative insights with quantitative data for a holistic view of user behavior Proactively identify research opportunities that could improve product strategy and user experience Advocate for user needs in strategic planning and prioritization discussions Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience 5+ years of UX Research experience from planning to execution, with demonstrated impact on product decisions A work history in the financial services industry is preferred Expert knowledge of various research methodologies and when to apply them effectively Strong leadership skills with eagerness to mentor junior UXers and influence stakeholders Excellent communication skills with ability to translate research findings into compelling stories and actionable recommendations Experience with research repository tools (e.g., Dovetail) and participant recruitment platforms Comfort working in an agile environment and adapting research approaches to support rapid iteration Ability to balance strategic research initiatives with tactical needs Experience collaborating with data analysts to connect qualitative insights with quantitative metrics Willingness to manage parts of ResearchOps and self-serve recruitment Proficiency with analytics software like Heap, PostHog, or similar is preferred What we offer The opportunity to collaborate with a team of creative, fun, and driven colleagues on products that have an immediate and significant impact on people\'s lives The opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with experienced industry leaders Flexible time off, comprehensive health coverage, competitive salary, paid parental leave, and other wellness benefits A bevy of other perks including Udemy access, childcare assistance, pet insurance discounts, legal assistance, and additional discounts through Perkspot Interview process Recruiter Call: A brief screening to discuss your experience and initial questions Department Interview: Deeper dive into technical skills and project alignment with the Hiring Manager or team member Case Study Round: Analyze a real-world problem, propose solutions, and present findings, evaluating analytical, strategic thinking, and presentation skills Team/Virtual Interview: Meet team members for collaborative discussions, problem-solving, or technical exercises Salary: $165,000 - $200,000 a year Compensation details: The salary for this position is $165,000 - $200,000 annually, plus bonus and generous benefits.
