Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher specializing in Functional Skills at the high school level. This full-time position is a contract role for the current school year, based in Clinton, IN.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' functional skill needs
• Delivering specialized instruction to support students with diverse learning challenges
• Collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
• Maintaining accurate records and providing regular communication with parents or guardians

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Proven experience working with high school students, especially in functional skills development
• Strong understanding of instructional strategies for students with special needs
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and create engaging lesson plans
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
