Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in a K-12 school setting, supporting students with diverse learning needs. This contract role is based in Albany, OR, and involves a full school year mitment with a 37.5-hour workweek.

The role includes managing caseloads across several settings: a 3rd-5th grade autism classroom focused on social learning, a middle school resource classroom, and an elementary resource position. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in special education strategies, individualized instruction, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth and development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' specific needs
• Utilizing evidence-based teaching techniques to foster academic and social skills
• Monitoring student progress and adapting instruction accordingly
• Collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure prehensive support
• Maintaining accurate records and adhering to school and state pliance guidelines

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure for K-12
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum and in resource settings
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
