Job Description

Rockway Exhibits + Events is looking for an experienced 3D exhibit and event designer to lead our creative dept and lead our company into the future via design, conceptual thinking and experiential ideas. This requires creative expertise and experience in  tradeshow exhibit design,  event design, and environment branding design. 

 

This candidate will be working internally with our sales team, designers, marketing, and externally with our customers. The goal is to conceptualize and bring to life 3D design that drives success for our customers at their tradeshows and events. In each of these projects, you will ensure that outcomes are on budget, within brand, and incorporating current design trends and engagement tactics.

Responsibilities

  • Set the overall creative vision and drive concepts to create stellar, innovative work.
  • Concept, develop, manage and inspire top-level creative strategy to produce exceptional 3D and 2D design.
  • Has design, drawing, and rendering skills in both 2D and 3D.
  • Has a clear understanding and knowledge of fabrication methods and costs..
  • Is a key driver in the development of creative briefs to ensure that strategy and creative output are aligned.
  • Is a central player and driver in RFP responses.
  • Work with account, design, production, and other teams to execute and optimize the creative process.
  • Manage creative team which includes guidance, training, check-ins. 
  • Assign and manage tasks to ensure that the creative is on-brand and achieves set goals.
  • Provide guidance on presentation and communication skills.
  • Present dynamic, engaging, and clear plans internally and with clients.
  • Anticipate changes and prepare the team to roll with them, whether timelines, budget, and/or availabilities change to adapt to client or team needs.
  • Remain current and communicate industry trends and techniques.
  • Remain current on emerging trends in digital technology to incorporate new technologies into your strategy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years' in a design role
  • Current portfolio to be submitted with your application
