Overview
The SEM & Google Specialist is the expert in all this Google advertising including PPC/SEM, Google Display Network, and YouTube as well as other directory and SEM/PPC platforms like Yelp, Yahoo, and Bing. They are expected to be in charge of the set up, monitoring, optimizing, and overall wellbeing of these campaigns and keeping up with trend, technology, and other opportunities related to this space.
Responsibilities:
- Setup and managing PPC/SEM advertising primarily on Google, but possibly on other search engines as well- Setup and manage other Google provided ads like LSA, GDN, and YouTube.
- Be an expert in the paid search and Google advertising realm to answer questions and make recommendations/optimizations to the rest of the team.
- Work on a collaborative ad ops team and with our account success individuals
- Pull and analyze advertising, keyword, traffic, and other reports.- Digital marketing research- Write, create, test, and optimize SEM advertising copy
- Work in and review media plans in our media buying system, Advantage- Joining team meetings, cross collaborating, and sharing info with other team members
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. (Core Values)- Perform other related duties as required. Complete tasks as necessary to support our agency and the Account Services Team.
Skills Needed:
- Minimum of 3+ years experience with running PPC/SEM effectively
- Strong PPC/SEM copy writing skills- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with Google Ads is a must- Experience with Yahoo/Bing ads, Advantage, and Agency Analytics is a big plus
- A passion and understanding for PPC/SEM advertising
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Someone within driving distance of Pittsburgh or Bellefonte is desired. Applicants in PST, MST, or outside of the United States will not be considered.
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Enjoys working in and looking to improve processes

- Demonstrates proficiency in Google Drive and the ability to learn agency productivity and project management tools.
