About the Role:
BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, a therapist-owned practice, is seeking a dedicated school social worker to join our team in supporting a local school district near Olympia Fields, IL. Join BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, P.C. as a School Social Worker and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families. In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate with educators and parents to support students' emotional and social well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate interventions.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution among students.
• Engage with families to provide resources and support for home and school connections.
• Organize and lead workshops on social skills, bullying prevention, and mental health awareness.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.
• Participate in school meetings and contribute to a supportive school environment.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Current Illinois State License in Social Work (LCSW or LSW).
• A valid license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education, endorsed as a School Social Worker.
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to student advocacy.
• Proficient in crisis intervention techniques and mental health support.
