Job Title: Special Needs Student Transportation Driver (Minivan)

Location: [Throughout Southern Jersey]
Job Type: [Full-Time]
Schedule: [2-3 Hours in Morning 2-3 Hours in afternoon, Monday - Friday]

Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Student Transportation Drivers to safely transport students with disabilities using company-owned minivans . Drivers play a critical role in supporting students’ daily routines by providing safe, respectful, and attentive transportation to and from school and school-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school-owned minivan on assigned routes and schedules
• Transport students with special needs to and from school
• Assist students with boarding, seating, seat belts, and exiting the vehicle as needed
• Properly use and secure safety equipment (e.g., child safety restraints, harnesses, mobility aids)
• Maintain a calm, supportive, and structured environment during transport
• Follow individualized transportation plans and special instructions
• Monitor student behavior and respond appropriately to medical or behavioral needs
• Communicate effectively with school staff, parents/guardians, and supervisors
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness and safety
• Report incidents, concerns, or vehicle maintenance needs promptly

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s CDL license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical examination
• Experience working with children with special needs preferred
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Ability to follow safety protocols and emergency procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods
