Overview Position Title: SAP Public Cloud Finance Consultant Location: Remote (with occasional travel to project office in Chicago) Duration: 6 Months Role Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP Public Cloud Finance Consultant to support the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Finance. The consultant will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders, the systems integrator, and process leads to design, configure, and deliver financial solutions aligned with best practices and industry standards. The role requires strong functional expertise, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with occasional travel to project offices. Responsibilities Work with project stakeholders and business process leads to define requirements and validate SAP Public Cloud Finance design. Configure SAP Public Cloud Finance modules, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry best practices. Support process design workshops, configuration, functional specifications, and testing (SIT/UAT). Provide guidance on integration points with related modules (Procurement, Controlling, Project Systems, etc.). Develop user stories, documentation, and training materials for business adoption. Assist with data migration, validation, and cutover activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tax, Treasury, Reporting, etc.) to ensure seamless financial processes. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of SAP Finance (FI/CO) experience, including at least 12 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA or SAP Public Cloud Finance implementations. Strong expertise in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Financial Closing. Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Finance configuration. Knowledge of SAP Best Practices, Fit-to-Standard approach, and Public Cloud implementation methodology. Familiarity with integration to Procurement, Controlling, and Reporting/Analytics. Strong understanding of finance operations in professional services, accounting, or financial industries. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently in a remote/virtual project environment. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with multi-country/global SAP deployments. Exposure to tax, treasury, and reporting compliance within SAP. Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and agile project delivery. CPA or accounting background for added finance process expertise.
