Cleveland Clinic’s Imaging team is continuously working to provide patients with the most up-to-date technological advances and innovative treatment options in diagnostic imaging. RNs are cross trained in charge line, produce and all vascular access. You will rotate through all vascular access on 2-week rotation s . Caregivers w ill work closely with Interventional Radiology Tech nicians. Having VARN or PIV is a plus or any Vascular Access experience.  

A caregiver in this position works d ays, 10-hour shifts, 9:00am—7:30pm. Will work every 3rd weekend.1 holiday per year .  

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings.  

• Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings.  

• Perform telephone triage and call rotations.  

• Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.  

• Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team.  

• Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning.  

• Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care.  

• Educate patients and families.  

• Cover other nursing roles in the department.  

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing  

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse  

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)  

• One year of recent experience as an RN  

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• Two years of recent experience as an RN

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

• Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.

• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

• Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.

• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
