Position: Restaurant Server Assistant- Part Time

Reports to: Food & Beverage Supervisor and Banquets & Outlets Manager

Job Purpose: Responsible for providing excellent service to guest(s) in a courteous manner to exceed their dining expectations.

Job Summary: The Restaurant Busser is responsible for maintaining the dining area; clearing and resetting tables and taking dishes to the kitchen area.

Salary: $12 an hour + tips

Duties

  • Provide welcoming atmosphere to guest.
  • Be courteous, friendly, and helpful to fellow employees, vendors, and guests.
  • Stocks bus stations, cleans glassware, and refills drinks.
  • Responds to additional guest requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process.
  • Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to guest spills or other special needs.
  • Welcomes guests by exchanging pleasantries; escorting them to assigned dining area; presenting menus; announcing waitperson’s name.
  • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies.
  • Helps dining room staff by setting and clearing tables; replenishing water; serving beverages.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Responsibilities will include bussing, hosting, food running, and helping with to-go orders.

  • Ability to identify and fulfill guests current and future needs.
  • Projects a professional and polished image that welcomes guests.
  • Must be able to effectively listen and communicate both verbally and written, with both employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Conflict resolution to overcome obstacles in a fast pace environment.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Position is available for 14-15 year olds

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 20 lbs., stand and/or walk for long periods
