Job Description

We are seeking a Phlebotomist Technician for a 13-weeks travel/contract assignment in Cambridge, MA 02138.

Job Details:

• Shift: Day Shift(8) - 8:00 start
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Pay Rate: $880 - $1,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture procedures to collect blood samples.
• Properly label and handle specimens for laboratory testing.
• Greet and register patients with accuracy and professionalism.
• Accession and process specimens in accordance with lab protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of collections and patient interactions.
• Respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment and workstations.
• Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and lab staff.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program (required).
• 3 6 months of phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• BLS Certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and lab procedures (preferred).
