Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Leadership & Scrum Master Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) for Agile teams.
- Coach and mentor development teams on Agile practices, ensuring the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile methodologies.
- Act as a servant leader to remove obstacles and resolve issues that impede the team’s progress.
- Support Product Owners in managing product backlogs and ensuring that work items are clearly defined, prioritized, and understood.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment of Agile projects with business goals and objectives.
- Track and report on team performance, progress, and velocity metrics to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products.
- Project Management & Program Oversight:
- Manage and oversee multiple Agile projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring optimal team productivity and efficiency.
- Support the creation of a Program Management Office (PMO) to standardize and optimize project management processes across the organization.
- Define and implement best practices for project governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure projects are aligned with organizational strategy and business priorities.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including business leaders, team members, and external partners.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, fostering a transparent and open work environment.
- Report on project and program status, risks, issues, and achievements to IT Project Manager and to executive leadership and key stakeholders when applicable.
- Conduct regular project reviews to ensure alignment with business objectives and adjust project scope as necessary.
- Continuous Improvement & Best Practice Implementation:
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within teams and across the organization by identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions.
- Champion the use of Agile tools and techniques to improve workflow, increase efficiency, and enhance team performance.
- Establish and maintain a robust feedback loop with all teams to gather insights and optimize workflows.
- PMO Establishment & Governance:
- Support the design and implementation of the PMO, establishing frameworks, processes, and guidelines for efficient project delivery.
- Create standardized templates, workflows, and reporting structures to ensure consistent project execution.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess project health and program success.
- Align PMO goals with organizational objectives, ensuring that projects support the overall strategic direction of the business.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification (e.g., PMI-ACP, SAFe, etc.).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Scrum Master and/or Project Manager roles with a focus on Agile methodologies.
- Proven experience working within a Program Management Office (PMO) in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire teams to perform at their best.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience with large-scale Agile transformations and implementing Agile at an enterprise level.
- Knowledge of other project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Experience with organizational change management initiatives.
