The Production Operator position offers an hourly rate of $29.55 per hour and a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (2-2-3). The Production Operator will support the production of high-quality roofing materials through accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of manufacturing processes to include machine operation, quality verification, packaging, housekeeping & forklift operation. Essential Duties include safe operation of equipment to prevent damage and injuries, participating fully as a crew member during downtime, start-up, product changes, operational problems, and clean up. Assisting in sheet breaks, threading machine and product changes, clearing machine jams, basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of assigned equipment. Completing product testing per product specifications and recording data, maintaining work area neatness, operating forklift safely, and performing other duties as assigned. Physical demands include frequent sitting, walking, standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing, and lifting/moving weights up to 80 lbs with assistance. Specific vision and communication abilities are required. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or G-Suite and familiarity with manufacturing concepts are a plus.
