POLICE --- CODE INSPECTOR – (Inspector I)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Investigating complaints of nuisance or property maintenance violations
• Coordinating with other departments (i.e., fire, police, public works)
• Documenting violations, issuing citations/notices, and working with property owners to achieve compliance
• Preparing case files, records, and reports
• Providing excellent customer service by educating property owners and/or residents about municipal nuisance codes

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent accreditation PLUS two (2) years' experience in a multi-tasking, high public contact work environment. Prior code/nuisance enforcement experience is preferred, but not required; OR

High school diploma or equivalent accreditation PLUS three (3) years of experience in an Equipment Technician II job classification with the City of Lebanon or municipal government entity.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

• Valid Driver's License
