PLC Technician

Job Description

Join our maintenance and automation team as a skilled and detail-oriented PLC Technician. You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related industrial automation systems to ensure optimal performance of production and facility equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC systems (Siemens).
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC hardware and software issues, as well as any other electrical issues.
• Modify existing PLC programs to improve efficiency, safety, or reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers and maintenance teams to support projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation of PLC programs, wiring diagrams, and system changes.
• Perform preventative maintenance on control systems and related equipment.
• Assist in the integration of new machinery and automation systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all work activities.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in troubleshooting Siemens PLCs and related systems.
• Understanding of schematics, three-phase systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Experience in PLC troubleshooting, wiring, welding, and fabrication.
• Diagnosis skills for identifying and resolving issues efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens PLC systems is preferred.
• Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail in maintaining documentation and system accuracy.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mableton, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
