Title: Material Coordinator
Location: Onsite in Joliet, IL
Overview
Our client is looking for a Material Coordinator who is responsible for the coordination of material deliveries between Supply and Project Management. The material coordinator will be onsite at the regional warehouses to ensure that materials staged for job site deliveries are complete and accurate. The Material Coordinator will be the liaison between Supply and Project Management. They will be responsible for verifying MR accuracy, reviewing manifests, and validating that material deliveries are accurate/complete.
Responsibilities
• Ensuring that material picked for job site deliveries is accurate and complete. The Material Coordinator will inspect staged materials in the warehouse to ensure that material picked matches with what is listed on the manifest for delivery. The Material coordinator will sign-off on picked material, confirming it is accurate and complete. The material coordinator is responsible for notifying Supply with any material issues prior to it leaving the warehouse so they can be resolved.
• Work closely with the Supply Work Management Analyst and Project Management to verify accuracy of material Requests that are to be job site delivered
• Review past due MR’s for job site deliveries that have been created/approved in passport. Work with Project Management to update or cancel these Material Requests
• Assist with the creation/verification of manifests for job site deliveries
• Responsible for tracking material delivery confirmation for job site deliveries
• Responsible for miscellaneous tasks including reporting, scheduling/attending meetings, and operational tasks in the warehouse (e.g. inventory verification, yard walk-downs, etc)
• Other tasks/activities as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 2-5 years of related business experience.
• Possess good PC and computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Passport, Hyperion)
• Experience in AS8.
• Data analysis experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize a variety of independent assignments and meet deadlines.
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
• Ability to work flexible hours, handle conflict and have excellent attendance record.
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Knowledge of PassPort.
• Knowledge of assigned regions and crew routing tools.
• Knowledge of the Supply Chain process.
