Responsibilities

Meritage Homes is seeking a Marketing Specialist for our Gulf Coast Division. The position will oversee the division’s marketing efforts in Coastal Mississippi and Coastal Alabama along with future planned expansion into the Florida Panhandle area.

In collaboration with regional marketing leadership and division leadership, t he Marketing Specialist will develop and implement the annual marketing plan to contribute to the successful achievement of the division’s business plan goals.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute local marketing initiatives and sales tools for incentive promotions, community marketing, and agent outreach to support the sales effort for existing communities.

  • Oversee new community marketing activities to ensure successful new community openings; responsibilities include building and managing vendor relationships and coordination of signage, messaging, model merchandising, sales center installation and special events as well as regular site visits.

  • Effectively plan and execute local rollout of national marketing initiatives to maximize results for the division as well as the company.
  • Effectively implement the company’s national agent program and partner with local Sales Leaders to develop local strategy for agent outreach efforts including messaging and event planning.
  • Maximize division’s brand awareness and perception with key targets; build relationships and consistently execute to brand standards.
  • Track and analyze results of marketing initiatives to ensure effective ROI; Leverage reporting tools and data to inform future marketing strategies.
  • Create, audit and maintain community web presence on Meritage Homes website; ensure content is compelling and up to date.

  • Participate in key meetings as requested; assume responsibility for assigned action items and proactively provide progress updates through completion.

  • Monitor actual expenses vs budget for project marketing, model furniture and advertising.

  • Responsible for departmental administrative tasks including vendor set-up and invoice coding/processing/tracking.

  • Support divisional, regional and national marketing initiatives including special projects as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • 3+ years of marketing experience, preferably in homebuilding or real estate
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with strong attention to detail; ability to copywrite, edit and proofread materials for grammar and content
  • Strong technical aptitude and advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel), eblast systems, photo editing and website content management; Adobe Creative Suite applications a plus
  • Highly organized and flexible with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines, often with frequent interruptions and changing circumstances, in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
  • Strong team player with ability to work well within cross-functional teams
  • Flexibility to attend some evening and weekend events as needed
