Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician with experience in building out data closets and structured cabling systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, terminating, and testing low voltage cabling, as well as organizing and configurating data racks, patch panels, and network equipment in compliance with infdustry standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test CAT 5, CAT 6, fiber optic, and other low voltage cabling.
• Build out and organize data closets, including mounting racks, patch panels, cable management, and labeling.
• Install and configure network equipment such as switches, and routers
• Ensure all work meets industry standards and customer specifications.
• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on structured cabling systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with electricians to ensure timely project completion.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.

Experience

• Proven experience in building out data closets and structured cabling.
• Proficiency in terminating and testing copper and fiber cabling.
• Previous experience in a data center environment or similar role is required.
• Familiarity with network installation practices and protocols..
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Experience working with LAN technologies and low voltage cabling is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• 10 hour shift

Ability to Relocate:

• Farmers Branch, TX 75234: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
