Who We’re Looking For We value diverse backgrounds and welcome candidates who may not have traditional banking experience but bring transferable skills from agriculture and business. Strong candidates may come from: Agronomy, crop consulting, or seed/fertilizer sales Feedlot operations, livestock management, or dairy production Farm/ranch management and ag business operations Grain merchandising, commodity trading, or farm supply Equipment sales and service (tractors, irrigation systems, precision ag technology) What You’ll Do Build relationships with agricultural producers, ranchers, and business owners Develop new business through lending opportunities and community connections Underwrite, structure, and close loans while managing a strong existing portfolio Provide personalized financial solutions that help clients succeed Represent Astra Bank through community involvement and outreach Key Strengths Knowledge of ag operations and seasonal business cycles Ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with clients Solid problem-solving and financial decision-making skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Entrepreneurial drive and a customer-first mindset Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Ag Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Lending or credit experience preferred, but not required — we provide training for the right candidate 3–5 years of ag/commercial lending or ag-related industry experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Why Astra Bank?
