Loan Officer Assistant – Job Description Position Title: Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant Title Grade: Entry or Mid-Level Reports to: Branch Manager or Loan Officer Department: Sales Status: Regular, Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-exempt Pay Grade: Hourly (DOE) Summary & Purpose The Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) will be organized with a strong attention to detail. During the first 6 months of employment, the LOA will train to become a Licensed Mortgage Loan Officer, taking courses and the exam to transition to a MLO role. Primary Position-specific Responsibilities Assist Loan Officer in general administrative and clerical duties. Obtain loan documentation once loan application is received and ensure all documentation is completed accurately for Loan Officer to proceed to the next phase of processing. Schedule appointments, calls, etc. for the Loan Officer and clients. Assist with branch marketing efforts to generate leads. Complete MLO training courses and exam. Complete other duties as assigned. Essential Skills And Experience Must have exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Must be dependable with meeting deadlines and managing time. Have an ability to work independently on multiple files simultaneously. Possess strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred Education / Experience High school diploma Reporting To This Position No direct reports Physical Demands / Environment The environment is characteristic of an office setting.
