The Loan Officer Assistant will provide support to Senior Mortgage Banker(s) in the origination of residential real estate loans. This critical role facilitates data processing, document analysis, and submission of client files to the Operations Department, ensuring a timely and efficient workflow. Responsibilities Support and collaborate with Flat Branch Operations Staff, including Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Post‑Closing, Shipping, and Secondary. Assist with data entry, campaign facilitation, emails, phone calls, letters, and other necessary tasks. Create and manage procedures to maximize team efficiency and improve pipeline progression. Gather, analyze, upload, and label documentation in the Encompass e‑folder. Follow up promptly on critical client documents to facilitate closing. Facilitate credit pulls, DU/LP, and GUS through the LOS. Set appointments and coordinate business gatherings. Enhance relationships with clients and referral partners through marketing materials. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills At least 2 years of experience in mortgage lending. Able to calculate income and understand program guidelines. Proficient with various software applications. Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self‑starter with strong multitasking ability. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment. Comfortable with prolonged desk work and occasional minimal travel. Experience working with vendors and contractors (preferred).
