Responsible for physician recruitment, retention, supervision, practice development/management. Support the development and implementation of standardized care protocols, patient safety/quality initiatives. Participate as an active member of the hospital-based physician practice. Education Graduate of an accredited medical program Experience Completion of an ACGME accredited critical care fellowship program Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Fundamental knowledge related to the application of critical care medicine is required Ability to perform common bedside procedures in critical care medicine Licensures, Certifications ABIM Board certified or eligible in Critical Care Medicine Physical Requirements Able to perform daily tasks necessary for ICU patient management Working Conditions Normal patient care environment with potential exposure to noise, dust, temperature Potential exposure to adverse conditions and communicable diseases Conditions of Employment GBMC Medical Staff Privileges Principal Duties and Responsibilities Attend ICU service as scheduled, including: Prompt arrival for signout Participate in multidisciplinary rounds Perform bedside procedures as needed Complete administrative duties timely Champion process improvements and efficiency in patient care Communicate effectively with stakeholders Supervise residents during RRT calls outside ICU Respond to Code Blue calls Facilitate patient triaging and flow Address billing, coding, and quality inquiries promptly Participate in interdisciplinary simulation training and didactic lectures Perform other patient care duties as needed Core Values Respect: Treat everyone with courtesy, fairness, and dignity.
