About the Role:

We are excited to partner with a leading P&C Insurance provider seeking skilled Commercial Casualty Underwriters and Senior Underwriters to join their team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to leverage your underwriting expertise, evaluate risks, and contribute to the growth of a dynamic portfolio while building strong relationships with brokers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Risk Evaluation: Assess, approve, modify, or decline insurance applications based on company guidelines and detailed analysis of risk factors such as loss history and the nature of the business.
• Coverage Decisions: Determine appropriate coverage options and premiums, documenting exceptions and providing thorough justifications for decisions.
• Broker Relationships: Develop and maintain strong connections with wholesale and retail brokers to solicit new and renewal business opportunities.
• Communication and Resolution: Clearly communicate underwriting decisions and address concerns or questions from customers and brokers.
• Compliance and Review: Participate in audits and ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, contributing to process improvements when necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 3–7+ years of underwriting experience in the Commercial Casualty space, with a proven track record of managing complex accounts.
• Broker Relationships: Established connections with wholesale and retail brokers, with the ability to expand and nurture these relationships.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer service.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
• Teamwork and Independence: A self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
