Position Overview: The Insulator - Foreman oversees insulation crews working on industrial and commercial projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with specifications and quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills to coordinate manpower, materials, and daily work activities.
Key Responsibilities: - Crew Leadership: Supervise insulation crews, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to meet project goals.
- Planning & Coordination: Review drawings, schedule work, and coordinate with other trades and departments.
- Safety Oversight: Conduct job hazard analyses, safety meetings, and enforce compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Quality Control: Inspect work for proper material installation, sealing, and finish quality.
- Technical Expertise: Assist with complex or detailed insulation applications and material cutting.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs, time sheets, and material requisitions.
Required Qualifications: - Minimum of six (6) years of insulation experience, including at least two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of insulation materials, applications, and protective systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and insulation drawings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and procedures.
Preferred Experience: - Experience leading teams in refinery, energy, or heavy industrial environments.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent.
- Familiarity with project scheduling and quality assurance practices.
Work Environment: Field-based position working on active industrial and construction sites. May require climbing, lifting, and working in elevated or confined areas. Exposure to varying weather conditions and industrial noise should be expected.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Project Superintendent or Project Manager. Directly supervises Insulator Journeymen and Apprentices.
Compensation & Benefits: Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and project scope, in accordance with Nevada law.
