Core Personnel Staffing is seeking an In-House Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team and play a key role in navigating the legal landscape of our operations. If you're passionate about compliance, risk management, and providing strategic legal guidance, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do:
🔹 Partner with leadership to ensure compliance with labor laws, contracts, and industry regulations
🔹 Navigate legal challenges by representing the company in litigation and pre-litigation matters
🔹 Manage contracts – Draft, review, and negotiate with clients, vendors, and partners
🔹 Mitigate risks – Handle workers' compensation claims, unemployment cases, and other employment-related matters
🔹 Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across HR, Operations, and Sales to integrate legal considerations into everyday business activities
🔹 Stay ahead of emerging legal trends to protect our business, our people, and our brand
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a valid license to practice law
✔️ 3-7 years of experience in legal roles, particularly in employment law, contract law, or corporate legal advisory
✔️ A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and manage legal risks before they arise
✔️ Strong communication skills and the ability to break down complex legal concepts for business teams
✔️ Familiarity with the light industrial staffing industry is a plus, but not required
✔️ Experience with litigation, corporate governance, and compliance is highly valued
