Job Description

EOG Resources, Inc. (NYSE:EOG) is one of the largest crude oil and natural gas exploration and production companies in the United States with proved reserves in the United States and Trinidad.

EOG offers internship opportunities for university students working towards a B.S. or M.S. in Human Resources or related field. While working at EOG you will gain valuable experience in a challenging work environment.

We are currently looking for a Human Resources intern for our 2025 summer intern program.

Potential job duties:

  • Learn the role Human Resources plays in Oil and Gas operations with EOG Resources
  • Provided with an assigned mentor for further guidance with any technical challenges of your role and give assistance in navigating the day-to-day questions and challenges
  • Work on a strategic project that will help the Human Resources team
  • Learn different Human Resources functions in EOG, which includes:
  • Aide and support HR team for EOG headquarters client groups
  • Learn and support Employee Relations, HRIS, Compensation, Leave Administration, Benefits, or Recruiting

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be enrolled in a four-year accredited college or university and a course of study, relevant to the department/function of interest
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources or other related majors preferred with a graduation date of May or December, 2027.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Interns must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have strong oral and written communications skills, be able to work effectively and build relationships with others
  • Must have good organization and planning skills, demonstrate effective project coordination, facilitation, and implementation based on past work or school experiences
  • Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email software, internet searching, and other programs
  • Must possess deductive reasoning skills, be able to analyze and synthesize information for problem solving
